Many a Mildeu lives in cracks and crevices in the land's surface, where humidity and moisture create the perfect environment for spores to grow. Mold normally feeds on organic matter to survive, but this Astromon prefers the astral energy found in ore and other inorganic matter. It is for this reason that most Moldots carry around pickaxes. They don't get along very well with Ammonores, but sometimes the two will cooperate to repel predators. Although generally timid and reserved, Fungors will not back down from a fight when one comes knocking. The beard that a Fungor grows during the evolutionary process commands respect from other unevolved Mildeu. A Moldot, once evolved, becomes a supervisor over 10 or so Mildeu. Many say it is to improve overall mining efficiency, but in reality, it is to prevent them from pocketing any precious ore that they find. Fungors serve as managers, overseeing numerous Moldots and receiving reports about overall mining operations. Despite their position, they never lay down their pickaxes for good. In this way, they very much resemble humans. They dream of one day becoming Fungors themselves and having magnificent beards, though many will deny this, saying that many women hate beards. The most important factor in efficiently mining ore is to locate good ore veins, and there are none that do this better than wood Moldots, though it is yet unclear why or how they are able to do it. Notwithstanding their adorable appearance and endearing waddle when they walk, these Astromon possess tremendous strength, as can be seen when they mine with their pickaxes. He ran into a nearby cave to avoid confrontation, where he was greeted by numerous Mildeu staring at him with terrifying gazes. To avoid provoking a response, he sat motionless for quite sometime. As the days passed, the Mildeu became used to his presence, and began to bring him small rodents such as rats for food. Eventually, they even rallied together under the direction of a Fungor and protected him against an Ursa that had tried to attack him. Tragedy always strikes when least expected. Peter Hans beheld diamond ore for the first time in his life and, momentarily overcome by desire, did something he shouldn't have. The instant he realized he had made a mistake, he turned around to see a flurry of pickaxes—the same that had protected him all this time—coming down straight for him.
